We have to sell 10,000 calendars by January 2010 in aid of this great charity. Please help.
In countries across Asia, thousands of bears live a life of torture on bear farms, so that their bile can be extracted and used in traditional medicine to cure ailments ranging from headaches to haemorrhoids. Bears are confined in cages which vary from agonisingly tiny "crush" cages to larger pens, all of which cause terrible physical and mental suffering
Animals Asia have a huge undertaking: the rescue, rehabilitation and care of 700 bears in China and Vietnam for the rest of their years while steadily working towards ending bear farming.
To be successful we need the help of people like you to volunteer your time to help us spread the word about the plight of the bears and to raise the precious funds necessary for us to continue this vital work.

And a heartfelt thank you to Steve Ashcroft and Julie Stock of Animals Asia Support Group who conceived this calendar and put so much work into making it happen. Their inspiration and generosity means that 100% of your calendar purchase goes to our projects helping animals in Asia.
Thanks to you too for giving hope to the thousands of endangered moon bears across China and Vietnam that so desperately need our help and support. Although we have never met, I can tell you that by buying this calendar you are playing a vital part in helping bears such as gentle Gypsy, brain-damaged Rupert and frail little Franzi who feature in this calendar. Bears that would never have seen their first glimse of spring were it not for people like you who have taken their plight to your heart.
With the support of caring people like you in the UK and across the world, Animals Asia has rescued over 280 bears, bringing them "home" to our leafy sanctuaries in China and Vietnam to give them the happy life they deserve, after years of unimaginable cruelty. With your support we will continue our work rescuing moon bears, closing down bear bile farms and campaigning to end this despicable bile trade forever.
